Wake up to a breeze of wilderness, in one of our two beautiful cabins. Rubha Phoil is the perfect spot to rest, reconnect and immerse in nature.
Have a stroll on our 15 acres of forest, admire the geology and stunning views or enjoy the peace at one of our quiet beaches, or take off to explore the diverse landscape of Sleat! There’s local shops and a pub nearby.
You can arrive to Rubha Phoil by car, bus, bike, foot and ferry. Find directions here.
Surrounded by Birds and Wildlife
Just off the shore of Rubha Phoil lie two small Islands, untouched by human beings. They’re home to a wide variety of birds. Part of our 15 acres of land serve as nesting places for birds and other wildlife. Over the years, those birds and wildlife have grown more comfortable around humans, coming ever closer to our living areas.
You can hear a choir of birds singing during the day, and if you pay attention you might spot some of the rare species living here! With some luck and patience, one of the robins might eat some mealworms from your hand.
Singing With Seals
You might have heard that seals like soft, happy music. Based on our experience that’s true! There are a few seals coming for regular visits at the Rubha Phoil beach, just 200 meters from the cabin. Go for a walk, explore your musical streak, and watch the seals’ reactions!
Activities for Families and Friends
Commonly known as ‘the garden of Skye’, Sleat is Skye’s softer, greener peninsula with lush vegetation reaching down to rocky shorelines and sandy beaches. There is a maintained garden at Armadale Castle with exotic trees and shrubs from around the world, a new distillery at Torabhaig, and walks to suit everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Each cabin comes with a private fireplace and enough firewood for unforgettable nights.
There is a local pub that serves food during most of the year and a local community owned shop. There is also a ‘Pasta Shed’ at the bottom of our drive, by the ferry park. They provide sandwiches, hot food and hot and cold drinks during day time hours.
